This is some good noise. I haven’t heard a lot of Merzbow (and there’s a lot out there), but I definitely enjoy this one. It’s got 4 tracks of looped, layered, rhythmic noise. The tracks are thick with various textures of distortion and have a lot of sounds buried in the mix.The overall feel is built from heavily distorted beats. This is nothing like power-electronics distorted beats, though. I do not get that “drum machine run thru a fuzzbox” feel – the rhythms are organic and varied, and the distortion is digital and ranges from crunchy to scratchy to head-on walls of noise.

This is probably rhythmic enough to be accessible to most industrial fans who don’t like harsh noise. I would definitely recommend it.
