(4.5/5)

The new release “I Tank U” from T.Raumschmiere, the solo project Marco Haas, screams energy. Equal parts industrial, punk, rock, hip hop and straight forward pop this release is equal parts “all over the place” and yet totally coherent. A number of guest vocalists pop in and out of the release which adds even more to the already varied textures and styles. Read More »

“VIRGIN SUPERSTAR”
Label: Virgin 2000

And One is a fairly popular EBM group whose tunes are heard across the world on goth/industrial club nights around the world. It’s not surprising, because it’s very difficult to listen to And One without some part of your body wanting to move around. Sure, being EBM some of their stuff is a little too techno for my liking, but they are quite good overall.

SMP/Jason Bazinet has always had an aggressive sound but it’s never been recorded so well as it has here in his latest release. (4/5)

“Traveller” is the second full length release from the Tulsa, OK. project Novachild. Revolving pads, textures, smooth transitions, the occasional guitar and well constructed beats are at the core of this disc. However, what separates this disc from the legions of other ambient releases birthed into the world is it’s excellent tone. Read More »

“Hybrid Still Life”
Label: 1over0records

(3/5)

“Hybrid Still Life” is the newest release from Chicago’s “Infinity Interrupt”. Riddled with oppressively dark moods and textures, “Hybrid Still Life” plays from beginning to end like a detailed soundscape to a life gone wrong. You can still see glimpses of a beauty that used to exist but now only shadows and detached memories of what that beauty was remain. Read More »
