NYC Event: The Qualia LIVE @ Kenny’s Castaways, NYC
If the idea of listening to the best synthesizer-driven pop band in New York City at the height of their powers is something that’s attractive to you, we have an offer.
The Qualia. Live at Kenny’s Castaways, Friday, April 1st at 8:30 p.m.
The entire band, Lars Casteen, Chvad SB, Rossen Nedelchev, and Zakai Robbins will be performing what music writers would call “a blistering set of perfect pop songs, punctuated by immaculately orchestrated synthesizer arrangements, carried forward by today’s best rhythm section” if they ever bothered to come to our shows. Don’t make that mistake. Come to our show.
WHEN : Friday, April 1, 8:30 p.m.
WHERE: Kenny’s Castaways, 157 Bleecker in the West Village.
HOW MUCH : 5 measly dollars.
We’re going to be moving on to an after-party shortly after the show, so come early and hang out for the night.

GIGGING BANDS: The New York Experience
So you’re in a band and you think you’re ready for NYC? Here’s what you can expect… According to Martin’s Atkin’s new book, “TOUR:SMART” there are anywhere from 741 to 1235 bands playing in New York City every week. As I’m writing this, on a Friday evening, there are 374 bands playing in NYC (according to http://www.going.com) and that isn’t even tapping into the plethora of shows that didn’t bother to post on the site.
